The 2025 edition of the EAFO Consumer Monitor is now being completed with a revised scope. In contrast to previous years, the study now will provide a comprehensive, EU-wide overview of public attitudes toward electric mobility, based on a proportionate sample of around 3,000 respondents across the EU-27. For this edition, the EAFO Consumer Monitor focuses on drivers in general to better understand the remaining barriers to BEV uptake and the views of consumers who have not yet made the transition to electric mobility. In response to interest from several Member States, a separate opportunity is now available for national public authorities wishing to conduct an extended, country-specific deep dive. These national deep-dive surveys are: Fully voluntary and outside the framework and budget of the European Commission; Customisable, allowing each country to include its own priorities and focus areas; Delivered by VUB/MOBI (survey design, scripting and analysis) and Dynata (sampling & field work) with QA from EAFO coordinator FIER; Authorities choosing to participate may select from predefined analytical packages and can add BEV-specific content or additional country-tailored questions. The survey can be adapted to local needs while building on the methodology of the EU-wide study. Public authorities interested in more detailed information or in receiving the pricing package can contact the survey coordinators via caspar.overgaauw@dynata.com , nikolaas.van.den.steen@vub.be and mcsukas@fier.net.
