This publication is a report by the Sustainable Transport Forum (STF), the European Commission´s expert group on alternative fuels infrastructure. The report was developed by the STF sub-group on public authorities with the assistance of ChargeUp Europe – the association at the EU level representing the EV charging industry which works towards the rapid deployment of charging infrastructure across Europe.

The following guidelines are primarily aimed for public authorities and intend to provide recommendations and examples of good practices that these authorities can consider when setting up tenders for publicly accessible EV recharging infrastructure.

This document is the primary deliverable of the Sustainable Transport Forum's Sub-Group 3, that focuses on the best practices of public authorities in facilitating the deployment of recharging infrastructure. Task force 3 (TF3) within Sub-Group 3 is entrusted with providing recommendations aimed at aiding public authorities in supporting the expansion of recharging infrastructure tailored for specialised and captive fleets.
