New study published on Greening of European sea ports

Discover the newly published study on Greening of European sea ports and learn more about the environmental challenges they face.

The report aims to provide guidance to ports for improving their environmental performance while achieving sustainability goals, through experiences gained by implementing noteworthy green initiatives in practice. 

The study identifies challenges to implementing green initiatives and presents good practices aimed at achieving sustainability objectives. By fostering knowledge-sharing and providing insights into adaptable strategies, the study provides tools, including a roadmap, to help ports and port users, service providers, equipment manufacturers and others to navigate their environmental challenges. A particular emphasis is placed on smaller ports that may face constraints or have limited capacity to implement green practices.
