No purchase subsidies are currently available for battery electric vehicles in Bulgaria.
Battery electric vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, mopeds, and vehicles of categories L5e, L6e, and L7e (as defined in Regulation (EU) No. 168/2013), are fully exempt from vehicle registration tax.
Battery electric vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and mopeds, are exempt from the annual circulation tax.
Electric vehicles used as business assets are eligible for accelerated depreciation. Additionally, full operating lease expenses for BEVs are tax deductible.
VAT on the purchase of battery electric vehicles is deductible when the vehicle is used exclusively for business purposes.
Free parking is available for battery electric vehicles in select Bulgarian cities, subject to municipal regulations.
No additional local incentive schemes are currently reported beyond exemptions from parking fees in some municipalities.
