Registration tax benefits

No excise duties for electric vehicles.

Ownership tax benefits

Exemption from special environmental tax for electric vehicles.

Purchase subsidies

For BEVs and hydrogen cars, the government co-finance the purchase of up to 70,000 HRK (9291 EUR) for citizens and legal entities, for plug-in hybrid vehicles emitting less than 50 g / km of CO2, it will be possible to receive incentives of up to 40,000 HRK (5309 EUR), while for electric ATVs, motorcycles and mopeds can be applied for 20,000 HRK (2640 EUR) of support, but up to a maximum of 40 per cent of the value of the vehicle. 
In 2021 the Croatian Ministry of environmental protection and energy-efficiency made 90 million HKK available as an incentive for private and buisiness purchases of BEV.
This legislation is extended into 2022.

AF infrastructure incentives

In 2020, HRK 10 million (1,320,000 EUR) has been provided for the co-financing of charging stations for electric vehicles.
