Charging without any surprises: Customer journey
The customer journey analysis looked at EV drivers’ behaviour and needs from three perspectives: the experts (VER, ANWB, LaadpasTop1), the EV drivers (who depend on the public charging network and pay for their charging costs) and supply chain partners. This service design approach provides a realistic impression of EV drivers’ experience, important moments, bottlenecks and needs. The customer journey comprises seven steps.

Charging ahead: accelerating the roll-out of EU electric vehicle charging infrastructure
ACEA's report highlights the urgent need for accelerated EV charger installation across the EU, with 410,000 new points required annually to reach the 2030 target of 3.5 million. Currently, the EU has 632,423 public charging points, heavily concentrated in just three countries. The report underscores the disparity in infrastructure distribution and calls for rapid implementation of policies to boost charger availability and support the EU's CO2 reduction goals.
